It's 32 here in Wisconsin (that's a heat wave for this time of year!) but I'll probably also go for a car wash. I'm just going to head straight home and park in the garage so any remaining water doesn't freeze.

I totally agree. I also go really early in the morning but was itching to get that salt off after work.

The foam brushes at my wash are soft, like too soft. I need something more like a wire brush to clean salt off my forester so they don't help much, but I doubt they would causes swirls if there was no debris in the brush. I still do you bless/hand wash on my non-beaters.
